Navis N4 goes live on October 2nd at The Port of Helsingborg

The implementation and testing of The Port’s new TOS (Terminal Operating System) has been going on for some time, and in October, Navis N4 will finally go live!

Navis N4 has new functions that contribute to a faster, safer and more accessible service for all our customers of The Port of Helsingborg. A project group within The Port is working intensively to ensure that the transition from the current system goes as smoothly as possible. The switch will mean changes for you as a customer but most of all for our staff. There has been intense training and preparation in The Port before the system switch with new routines, new operational services, and new data flow to ensure all is in order when we go live on October 2nd.

The port operation closes for the whole weekend!

On Friday afternoon, September 29th, we will close both container operations and the former system PortIT at 3 p.m. to reopen the following Monday morning, October 2nd, with Navis N4 in full operation.

Please note! Vehicles can enter The Central gate at the latest at 2.30 p.m. on September 29th.

We are sorry to inform you about the closing of The Port this weekend. Still, since switching between two terminal operating systems is a very complex process, we decided it would be best to cease operations completely. This allows us to ensure that functions for all processes in the new system are working, as well as being able to redirect large information flows. Unfortunately, there is no access to our Customer Portals during the shutdown.

Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions concerning vessel arrival and departure or other operational issues: operations@port.helsingborg.se

New customer features in the system

As we have shared with you earlier, access to The Port’s services becomes faster and more efficient with Navis N4. Also, a new function called Track & Trace will be available via The Port’s website, where you can easily search for a unit or a booking number for basic information, even without logging in. Customers with a personal login get access to additional information and the opportunity to work in the system’s interface.
A new feature for customers who pre-notify their container matters in The Port is that they can use an app from a smartphone or tablet as well as via a computer like before.

You will still find the “Customer Portal” on our website in the same place as today, and we will communicate all the relevant links needed well before the system goes live.

New user accounts

A personal login for all users will be required to access The Port’s services, such as Customer Login, VGM or Pre-notification. All users will need a new personal account. To ensure that all necessary personal accounts are in place before the launch of Navis N4, The Port’s project team is now coordinating the collection of names, e-mails and all other information needed for the new personal accounts. Please get in touch with them if you have any questions or concerns: navis.support@port.helsingborg.se

In the coming days, we will also publish forms on our website where you can fill in your information to apply for a personal account for the respective service function. When these forms, one for VGM, one for Customer Login and one for Pre-notification, are published, we will send a new newsletter to all customers. Sign up for our newsletters!

Instruction manuals

Manuals and instructions on how Navis N4 works and how personal Navis accounts are created or deleted will soon be available and distributed.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we upgrade our Terminal Operating System!
